“Vyshivanka Run” to the Independence Day of Ukraine

Starting from 2014, until the Independence Day of Ukraine on August 24, the most patriotic running event of Ukraine – “Run in Vyshivanki” takes place.

This day unites all runners to celebrate the Independence Day of our country.

Professional athletes, amateur runners, children of preschool and school age, dressed in embroidered dresses, cover selected distances (from 100 meters for the youngest runners to 21.1 km for experienced athletes).

This patriotic and family sports holiday has already managed to be loved by residents of many cities of Ukraine, which is confirmed by the annual increase in the number of participants and partner cities.

Just imagine – several thousand Ukrainians, dressed in the most beautiful embroidered clothes, run simultaneously in several cities and even countries.

The synergy of patriotism and sports spirit is breathtaking!

The 5km, 10km and 21.1km “RACE IN VYSHYVANKY” track and field race, dedicated to the 32nd anniversary of Ukraine’s Independence on August 27 of this year, was held with the aim of:

✅Celebration of the Independence Day of Ukraine in Kyiv and other cities of Ukraine and the world

✅ Propaganda of a healthy lifestyle and involvement of the population in regular physical education and sports

✅ Development of mass sports in Kyiv and Ukraine

✅ The spread of patriotic sentiment among the population of Ukraine

✅ Creation of a positive image of Ukraine in the world

This year, our people took part in the competition – the honorary president of the Charitable Foundation “TOGETHER IN THE FUTURE OF UA” Oleksandr Goma and Oleksandr Tserkovny, who constantly helps our foundation.

Sport is a very important part of our life, which is inextricably linked with the nation’s health, spirituality and unity.

We thank the Armed Forces of Ukraine for making such an event possible even in wartime!
