On July 8, 2025, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky signed a decree awarding the title of Hero of Ukraine to three soldiers who died defending the Motherland.
Among them is Nazariy Hryntsevych, call sign “Grinka”.

Nazariy was not yet 18 years old when he went to Mariupol to complete a young fighter course in the Azov brigade.

After joining the unit, Nazariy served as a paramedic.

During the defense of Mariupol, he was one of the youngest defenders of the city (he celebrated his 19th birthday on the positions).

He was wounded several times…
He was held captive for four months, and after his release, together with his comrades, he founded the “Contact 12” unit, in which “Grinka” himself became the commander of a platoon of optical observers.

Nazariy is the author of the famous phrase that the whole country heard: “No matter what, love your mother, eat porridge and love Ukraine…”.
These words motivated a large number of people to take up arms and resist the enemy.
“Grinka” used the acquired “media status” in the interests of the unit: he dressed and provided most of the fighters with necessary things, constantly looked for new, better equipment and technical means.

Our charitable foundation “TOGETHER IN THE FUTURE OF UA” is proud of its friendship with the “Azov” brigade and the “Contact 12” unit; for Nazariy, we donated a car that he himself called “Grenkabil”.

On May 6, 2024, Nazariy Hryntsevych died a brave death in the Luhansk direction in the Serebryansk forest near Kreminna.

We remember our Heroes, thanks to whom Ukraine holds on and will surely win.
We are grateful for their courage, sincerity and bravery.
